Finished physiotherapy?

We get you strong again.

Personal training for people who have been discharged from physiotherapy and want support returning to training, sport or a physical job.

The gap after discharge

After discharge from physiotherapy, you may want support rebuilding strength and confidence for the gym, sport or a physical job. GRITFORCE provides progressive strength and conditioning coaching, guided by your goals and any advice or restrictions from your physiotherapist or doctor. Coaching supports your return to activity; it does not replace physiotherapy or medical care.

You might feel ready to move again but unsure where to start.

That is the moment GRITFORCE is built for.

A progressive return to training

Before coaching starts, your physiotherapist or doctor must confirm that you can begin general strength training. We plan around your goals and any advice or restrictions they give you. Progression is based on agreed criteria, not a fixed calendar.

  1. Assess

We review your injury history, discharge notes and what you want to be able to do. We test strength, movement and tolerance so we know exactly where you are starting.

Moves on when: baseline set and goals agreed
  2. Rebuild

Progressive strength work to rebuild capacity, with movement quality coached throughout.

Moves on when: movements are pain free and well controlled
  3. Load

We build strength and tolerance progressively, within your clinician's advice.

Moves on when: strength targets are met on both sides
  4. Return

Sport-specific or job-specific work, plus a plan you can run on your own so you stay strong once sessions end.

Goal: build confidence for your return to activity

Why strength and conditioning works after rehab

After physiotherapy, strength and conditioning coaching can support your return to training. We focus on building strength and confidence for the demands of your activity, such as lifting, running, jumping, carrying or playing.

Stronger tissue

Muscles, tendons and joints adapt to progressive load. We increase training load in measured steps, guided by your progress and any clinician advice.

Fixing the imbalance

Injury can leave differences in strength and movement between sides. We assess both sides and coach towards appropriate strength and movement goals.

Conditioning for demand

Fitness can drop during recovery. We work towards the endurance, speed and power your sport, job or training needs.

Progress you can see and feel can help rebuild trust in your body. We use your progress to guide the next step.

Who this is for

Post-injury

Sprains, strains, tendon problems, fractures and other injuries where physio has finished but you are not back to normal.

Post-surgery

After surgery, once your physiotherapist or doctor has cleared you for general strength training. We follow any advice or restrictions they provide.

Lingering niggles

Recurring aches that settle with rest and return with load, and the confidence gap that comes with them.

If you are still in active treatment or have new symptoms, we will ask you to check in with your physio or doctor first, and we will work alongside them where possible.

Questions people ask

Is this a replacement for physiotherapy?

No. GRITFORCE picks up where physio finishes. We are not a clinic and we do not diagnose or treat injuries. If something changes, we refer you back.

Do I need clearance before I start?

Yes. Before coaching starts, your physiotherapist or doctor must confirm that you can begin general strength training. Share any advice or restrictions with us. We can help you ask the right questions.

How often will I train?

Most people work with us once or twice a week, with a short home programme for the other days. We agree this at your assessment.

What if something flares up?

We adjust the session on the day and keep a record. If it does not settle, we pause and send you back to your physio.

What happens at the free assessment?

A conversation about your injury and goals, a movement and strength screen, and a written outline of the first block. There is no obligation to continue.
